Affinity Consulting is seeking an experienced Document Automation Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will lead client engagements to automate document content using tools like HotDocs, Contract Express, and Generative AI. To succeed, you'll need strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication.

What you would do, (unofficially).
You'll help clients simplify and maximize their document creation efficiency and accuracy by using technology to create document templates that will validate and enter data, insert legal clauses, and create the perfect legal document every single time. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs, create customized templates for their documents, and provide training and support to make sure everything runs smoothly.
What you would do, (officially).
As a Document Automation Consultant, you will work as part of our Automation team to lead your assigned client engagements involving the automation of document content within client documents by using technology to automate repetitive tasks such as data entry, formatting, and compilation. You will collaborate with clients and vendors to tailor solutions to their needs, provide a custom buildout of document templates and be able to deliver comprehensive training and support. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
Your responsibilities.
Regularly meet with clients to ensure clear timelines are met and tasks are completed to implement one of our offered software solutions.
Deliver document solutions within our partnered technology platforms to provide the following:
- Template Creation: Pre-designed templates are created for different types of documents. These templates include placeholders for variable data.
- Data Integration: Extract data from various sources (i.e. ODBC databases, API integrations or product-specific answer files) to populate the templates.
- Logic-Based Assembly: Create logic rules within the document workflow that insert appropriate client-provided clauses and validate that the correct information is inserted into the appropriate sections of the document.
What we’re looking for.
We hire talented people based on a track record of accomplishments, intellectual curiosity, and alignment with our Core Values. We’re looking for someone who has 2+ years of experience with deploying document automation templates with at least one of the following automation platforms: HotDocs, Contract Express, XpressDocs.
A working knowledge for common types of Legal Documents that are automated, and the typical variable content required for each (i.e. Estate Planning, Real Estate, Bankruptcy, etc.).
A very strong understanding of MSWord capabilities and standard legal document formatting techniques.

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience. This comprehensive package is designed to reward expertise and incentivize performance, aligning with our commitment to recognize and support our team's growth and success.
We’re 100% remote so we expect you to have reliable internet, a dedicated professional workspace, and the ability to travel to meetings/conferences typically 5-7 times a year. This is a full-time position. We work 8:30-5 ET, M-F (w/ flexibility). This is a full-time position.
